1. While my favorite album is sadly his final one, "You Want It Darker", one of the most mournful swan songs ever recorded, beautiful, wistful and gripping, "Dear Heather" is a different kettle of fish. This album has some unique twists, a decidedly jazzy tune featuring lead female vocals, with Cohen literally whispering his lines in the /5().

3. It was an Amazon review that convinced me that Dear Heather was a must for my collection of Leonard Cohen albums. It certainly lives up to what I read and exceeds my expectations by miles. There is quite a marked change from his earlier material as it bridges the gap between those and his last four albums/5().
